Mark Loewenberg PA 561-214-0370: 3 Simple Lessons Learned From Today's Kentucky Derby Winner - I'll Have Another

3 Simple Lessons Learned From Today's Kentucky Derby Winner - I'll Have Another

Derby TrophyAs we just saw, I'll Have Another, ridden by Mario Gutierrez, has won the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby from the 19th post position.  Another Awesome Kentucky Derby Race is completed.

Lessons learned for me from today's race!

1 You can be at the outside of the pack and still win.

2 You can be in the final quarter of a race barely seen as a contender and still win.

3 You can be 300 yards from finish line AND behind the leaders and still win.

To me the horse and jockey each had the heart of a champion, each had persistence, each never gave up and each persevered and reached their ultimate goal of winning.

So make it a great day and remember you can win too, it really does not matter what the current challenge may be, just get on that horse and run run run until you win!

Oh and how about a bonus for realtors with this great real estate phrase!
"I'll have another ______" Just fill in the blank:  prospect, closing, buyer, seller, advocate, referral... and on and on!

Hi, Mark. Great analogy. I'm sorry I missed the race...I'll have to catch it later on the news.

Interesting comparison. Heck, I picked the winner because of the great name ;-)

Great comparison Mark.  It was an awesome race.  "I'll Have Another" just kept his cool and through talent and hard work came out the winner.

Wow - I missed the race, but love the analogy. "I'll Have Another" great real estate year - how about you?

Hi Mark, I saw the race and it was great. Your analogy is so true. The jockey was an unlikely winner too.

The jockey and horse did not give up.  They kept at it and won.  I need to keep that in mind the next time I am looking at an seemingly insurmontable problem.

I almost missed the Kentucky Derby today,  My daughter had given birth to twins and I got home 5 minutes before it ran YAY!

It was an exciting and surprising end to a great race.

So much anticipation.  So much disappointment.  So much exhilaration.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing in sports that tops the Kentucky Derby.

Quadrupeds are my favorite athletes.

I missed the race but I was hoping I'll Have Another would win, if for no other reason than all the announcers have a great platform to play with the name.

Very true by all accounts, a great race, a great name and a great message!

Never give up, never surrender. Just have to keep prospecting. Never Know who is going to win.

What a race, what a day!

Mark, I agree.  The lessons we learn are 1. Never give up, 2. Never give up and 3.  Never give up.

What a way to start a new week!

Missed the race but agree with the sentiment here. Never give up because you never know what can happen.

That was a pretty good race -- and great names this time...Bodemeister cracks me up.

I like the idea of next year's winner being "never give up" too!   It inspired me through the end of last week and into a brand new week!  Enjoy and have a productive week all!

Also, just because you're in the lead, doesn't mean it will stay that way.
