It was a fun adventure to head to the beach to watch Hurricane Sandy blow up some very serious waves along the Treasure Coast this afternoon. The winds were whipping sand along the beach so fast that it stung at the legs and made it necessary to wear sunglasses to keep it out of our eyes. It was cool to see the sea toss and churn seafoam along the beaches as well. The surf was redonculous, even though we saw a brave soul out in the surf in a kayak. (By the way in my world Brave = Crazy today). Like I said it was a fun adventure as the bands of rain took a breather so that we could watch Mother Nature's true majesty with today's powerful sea that will be winding its way up the coast for a possible landing up in the North East.
